Shoeboxes!

Today the students took home their social studies projects. There are lots of items in there, but there is one very important envelope. Parents, please keep this envelope in a special place, as the student wrote letters to themselves in the future! The envelope says "Open at Grade 12 graduation". Inside they wrote a letter and there is a special photo inside. I know lots of parents enjoy keeping student work, so I would recommend keeping this until that special day 11 years from now!

Biscuits!

Students took home biscuits today that we made (only teachers touched the food items, not all students :) ).

The ingredients used were: flour, baking soda, salt, and milk. We also used whipping cream and turned it into butter!

Important Reminder

As we are heading into the final days of grade 1, PLEASE let us know if your child will not be attending certain days this week or next. YES, we do have school next Monday and Tuesday (June 27 and 28).

We have LOTS of supplies to be sent home, so if your child will not be here, please email me or Mrs. Porritt (room 13) ASAP, so that we can gather your child's belongings and send them home early!

Good afternoon,

What a wild week! Thank you so much for your flexibility this week. The students has a WONDERFUL time at Heritage Park and we are so glad we could reschedule.

They took home their plants today! I would recommend replanting them as the cups we are using have no drainage.

As we are in the final days of grade 1, we will start sending home student workbooks and supplies. Please check backpacks daily and remove these items and keep them at home!

-MONDAY is FORMAL uniform and our assembly. We will be recording our assembly and you will receive an email link later this week.

We are going to Heritage Park on Tuesday. You MUST be in your FORMAL uniform. Please dress for the weather (looks like rain!), as we will be outside for parts of the day.
